Branding + Website Design

From hobbyist creative writer to small business owner, the client was in need of a unique brand identity and website to captivate creative entrepreneurs and drive more inquiries.

My aim was to create a brand identity that speaks to a creative audience but felt grounded and timeless and to also carry that visual identity over into an MVP website.

The Process

I started with a brand strategy session where I asked questions to uncover the brand personality, the brand story, and the ideal types of client projects. It was during this session that I helped guide the client toward focusing on one ideal audience, creative entrepreneurs, instead of targeting any and all. Based on the brand strategy session I created a brand mission and values statement and captured the brand words which would be used to define the visual experience.

I created and presented a moodboard showing the creative direction along with explanations and reminders of the overall creative direction to keep the client focused on what would pique their audience’s interests. After designing and final approval on the brand identity elements, I worked with the client to develop the website content. Design and development for the client's MVP site took a total of two weeks. In addition to the website, I also created branded collateral and social media templates.
